Garry Zlotnik Awarded Manulife’s Leadership Award of Excellence
Manulife’s Leadership Award of Excellence is given to a well-rounded individual who can act as a role-model for those surrounding them, demonstrating and encouraging strong leadership and delivering superior customer service while also living a balanced life and giving back to his/her community.
At the most recent Manulife Retail Markets National Educational Conference, Chairman & CEO Garry Zlotnik was awarded with the prestigious Leadership Award of Excellence. This national recognition is awarded to one advisor within Canada who goes above and beyond for their clients and their communities. As well-respected leaders, recipients focus on excelling in all aspects of their life, seeking balance in everything they do.
Anyone who knows our CEO & Chairman Garry Zlotnik, knows that he has adopted a leadership role in nearly every endeavor he has ever taken on. Culture and collaboration are the drivers of innovation and Garry’s style is exemplified by his ability to recognize the strength of his team members, develop, recruit and support those that work with him. Whether he is sitting on a board, leading a committee or developing ZLC Financial’s Associate team, Garry advocates for creative partnerships, setting higher standards, and creating a positive culture while both challenging and supporting those around him. He is a leader in production, believer in limitless ambition and connecting to a larger strategic mission. Here at ZLC, Garry has been a driving force within our company for over 35 years.
Dedicating his time, resources and energy to going above and beyond for his community and living this commitment on a daily basis, Garry leads by example, consistently participating in philanthropic events and maintaining and supporting the relationships within the community in which he lives. Garry is a strong advocate of corporate responsibility as a way to provide assistance to the community in situations where financial aid is scarce. Under Garry’s leadership, charitable donations constitute a significant portion of ZLC Financial’s public involvement. Over the past 10 years, ZLC has helped Philanthropists within our community contribute over $100 million dollars to charities of their choosing through the ZLC Foundation, which Garry and his brother Mark started.
Personally, Garry has left a lasting legacy within his community through his commitment of time and passion. Most recently, Garry has become an advocate for fighting Pancreatic Cancer, promoting research and support for families. Alongside his partner Cyndi (who sits on the board for Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation), Garry recently wrapped a large scale gala in Vancouver as presenting sponsor in support of Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation, as well as a consistent supporter of the Glotman Simpson Cypress Challenge (which has raised over 2.05 million since 2008 for leading edge pancreatic cancer research).
