ZLC Foundation’s 35th Charity Golf Tournament Has Been Postponed to 2021

Given the ongoing uncertainties presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we made the difficult decision to postpone ZLC Foundation’s 35th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to July 12th, 2021.

The safety of our players, vendors, speakers, supporters, and staff volunteers is our top priority. Additionally, it’s clear that we wouldn’t be able to deliver the first-class experience you’ve come to expect with the mandated protocols and limitations outside our control.

On a brighter note, we are very pleased to announce our new golf tournament partnership with Easter Seals!

For 70 years, Easter Seals BC/Yukon has been helping individuals with diverse abilities and their families through the two essential services they offer: Easter Seals House and Easter Seals Camps. Easter Seals House provides affordable accommodation and a home-away-from-home for BC residents required to travel to Vancouver for specialized medical care. Easter Seals Camps offer a one-week, fully-accessible, overnight camp program for persons aged 6-49 with any physical and/or intellectual disability.

This year, in response to COVID-19, Easter Seals BC/Yukon is adapting its traditional outdoor summer camp program to deliver a new Easter Seals @ Home virtual experience. The online program will bring the adventure and skill-building fun of camp to the homes of children, youth, and young adults with disabilities, giving them a sense of community and extending a much-needed reprieve to caregivers. Nearly everyone is feeling the effects and stress of the coronavirus pandemic, but we know that one of our most vulnerable of people are those with diverse abilities. The very essence of the Easter Seals Camp program is needed now more than ever.

If you’re able to, please give today at www.EasterSealsBCY.ca. Or, for your organization to get involved, contact Mary-Lynn Hanson with Easter Seals directly by email or at (604) 649-4797.

Our team is happy to answer any questions you may have, so please feel free to reach out. Take care and stay safe.
