Philip started his career in 1979 articling with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Cape Town, South Africa. Shortly after obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1981, Philip immigrated to Canada and worked with a national CA firm where he qualified as a Canadian Chartered Accountant.
After eight years in public practice, Philip joined a client in the private sector. This allowed him to further develop and diversify his career and experience. As Chief Financial Officer, Philip’s responsibilities were broad and included strategic financial planning, wealth management, business affairs and mergers and acquisitions. Philip also managed public offerings and structured a Venture Capital Corporation.
Philip also has extensive experience in highly specialized structured financial models, various income tax assisted investments and international income tax planning.
