Mark began his business career as a Chartered Accountant and spent several years with a national accounting firm as an income tax specialist.

Mark joined ZLC Financial Group in 1984 where he concentrates on working with family businesses and privately owned companies in the area of estate planning and funding capital gains taxes and shareholder agreements. He is also involved in developing sophisticated deferred compensation plans, including retirement compensation arrangements. Mark also has extensive experience in designing deferred giving arrangements and works with many charities and service organizations both as a board member and as a planned giving consultant.

Mark co-authored C.I.C.A courses "Introduction to Life Insurance and It's Role in Financial Planning" and "Advanced Planning Strategies Using Life Insurance". Mark has earned the following designations:

• Chartered Accountant (C.A.)
• Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)

Mark's activities include golf, bridge and music. He is married and has four children.
